Dale-based Buckley's Dairy Farm has produced milk at its West
Yorkshire site for over 85 years. However, last year a fluorescent
light shorted and caused a fire that burnt the operation to
the ground.
 Six
months later, after a lot of hard work and assistance from
Moody Systems, general manager Steve Buckley was back producing
his 200,000 litres of milk a week in a brand new dairy.
'With over 200 cattle at the farm, there was always a possible
risk that Foot and Mouth would affect production, but a fire
was the last thing we expected. It came as quite a shock,'
said Steve Buckley.

Working in collaboration with the Buckley farm team, Moody
Systems provided a complete finished milk storage facility,
and designed, manufactured and assembled a glass bottling
handling system.
The latter involved Moody refurbishing a Dawson re-crater,
completely rebuilding a crate washer and udec filler, as well
as over-coming the intricate integration of the line with
an existing bottle washer. All pipe-feeding and inter connecting
with conveyors was also handled by Moody Systems.
'Moody proved very helpful at all times on various aspects
of the rebuild project. My expectations were very high and
Moody fulfilled them,' added Steve Buckley.
