Super-premium
ice cream maker Hill Station has seen its production rate
increase by 50% thanks to a new technologically advanced freezer
provided by leading ice cream industry supplier Alfred
& Co.
This increase in productivity has been achieved
by the WCB Ice Cream MF600 freezer supplied by
Alfred
& Co after Hill Station had searched extensively for
a suitable freezer that would ensure both high quality product
and efficiency.
Based in Calne, Wiltshire, Hill Station Ice Cream currently
makes eleven flavours of super-premium quality ice cream which
is sold through fine food stores, supermarkets and restaurants
across the UK. As demand for its products increases - with
some 1,000 new stockists coming on board in 2004 - Hill Station
has needed high quality machinery and services to support
this fast growth.
Steven Cheetham, Hill Station's Production Manager explains,
"We needed a piece of equipment that had the functionality
to produce super-premium ice cream with low air content. We
trialled the freezer against two others, but these did not
provide the same texture quality. This new freezer produces
a significantly better product and ensures a consistent fill."
"As our business continues to grow and increases its
production levels, quality will remain an absolute necessity.
High performance machinery, together with first class service
and support, is critical in helping us to achieve these levels.
We are delighted with the achievement of this latest production
target."
