Moody
Direct has been awarded a two year contract with Ireland's
second largest dairy processing co-operative, Lakeland Dairies.
Moody
Direct will supply APV process spare parts including pumps,
valves and heat exchangers to several of Lakeland's major
dairy processing sites throughout Ireland.
The agreement will lead to significant cost savings for Lakeland
Dairies as a result of reduced inventory, order processing
times and downtime.

Lakeland is a leading international provider of quality dairy
products and food ingredients for blue-chip clients and brand
names throughout the food manufacturing, confectionery, food
service and retail industries. The company process over 700
million litres of milk annually at several major facilities.
Through its wholly owned subsidiary Pritchitts, Lakeland is
also the market leader in dairy food service products throughout
Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Jason Gray, Sales Manager at Moody
Direct (pictured above) commented, "We completed
a thorough analysis of existing storeroom supplies at each
of Lakeland's sites. This enabled us to establish the exact
need for parts at each, eliminating duplications and reducing
inventory. Stock holding is further reduced as we will also
provide a next day delivery for many items".
John McMinn, MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating) Buyer
based at the dairy's Newtownards site said, "We place
a major priority on production uptime and efficiency throughout
all operations and are pleased to note that Moody
Direct will contribute significantly in this regard."
