Marston's
Brewery, part of Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries plc,
has selected Moody
Systems to install new brewhouse pipework at its site
in Burton-on-Trent.
This prestigious project involves the relocation
of major items of brewing equipment from Wolverhampton &
Dudley's Mansfield site into Marston's fully refurbished and
modified brewhouse building in Burton-on-Trent.
This major development includes dry goods handling, mash tuns,
brewing coppers, interconnection into the existing whirlpools,
together with electrical process control.
Moody
Systems will also install all of the stainless steel process
mains together with all mechanical services to the equipment.

Extensive 3D designs were supplied by
Moody
Systems to help position the equipment in line with the
complex structure of the building, taking into consideration
stringent planning requirements and ensuring the listed building
maintained its heritage and appearance.
Adding further value to the solution,
Moody
Fastpack will also convert a KHS Kister A320-70 wraparound
packing machine for the brewery. After extensive preparatory
design work, Marston's has selected
Moody
Fastpack to supply, overhaul, re-design, modify and install
the machine within their bottling line at Burton-on-Trent.
Tony Barkway,
Moody
Fastpack Managing Director, comments, "The machine
is one of the fastest types of wraparound packing machines
on the market, able to pack 24 bottles in a full wraparound,
corrugated type cardboard carton at speeds of up to 70 packs
per minute. After modification, the machine will handle a
wide variety of bottles sizes from 275ml to 800ml, which will
be packaged into 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 bottles per package."
