Moody
Systems are helping to reduce food and drink manufacturers
water bills throughout the country with the introduction of
their new, self-contained water saver unit.

The new product recovers and recycles process cooling and
lubrication water which would otherwise be lost down the drain,
often for 24 hours a day, 5, 6 or even 7 days a week.
For any production site operating plant items such as homogenisers,
water cooled pump seals, separators, fillers - in fact anything
that uses mains or chilled water to cool and/or lubricate,
a Moody Systems water saver will dramatically reduce site
water costs by cutting down on both usage and wastage.
Manufactured in stainless steel, the system works by collecting
the recovered water in an enclosed tank, circulating it through
a small plate heat exchanger to cool it, and pumping it back
for re-use on the process plant. The system automatically
tops itself up from the mains water supply, and includes a
number of safety features to safeguard process plant in the
event of water, power or air loss.
At a purchase price of less than £5,000 and usually
available from stock, Moody Systems can demonstrate a payback
time of less than 18 months for a typical application such
as oil pump cooling water, and piston lubrication water recovery
on a homogeniser.
The Moody Group can offer full support for the new water saver
unit in the form of maintenance contracts through Moody Service,
and spare parts all readily available from Moody Direct.
