Moody Service Taking on the South West in Style
As a result of significant increases in activity in the area, Moody Direct - Spares & Service have set up
a new office and workshop in the South West of England.
Derek Ross, Service Manager, explains "We are increasing our presence in this part of the UK to be nearer to our market - and make the delivery of optimum customer service more efficient. Some of the UK's leading dairy manufacturing sites are situated here - and our new location will help us to meet their needs even more promptly".
The service arm of Moody Direct has gained a lot of ground with the large dairy groups in the past 12 months, signing contracts for servicing mainly TetraPak equipment such as homogenisers, CIP systems and valves.
Phil Jones, Service Manager South West, comments "Moody have been servicing and restoring homogenisers, pumps and valves for many years and have long been recognised as APV specialists. I am very pleased that we can now announce that the same kind of specialist care is available for TetraPak processing machinery".
The increase in servicing business is a direct result of Moody's holistic approach and its focus on quality. For example, valves are not just looked at singularly but as part of the whole processing system. In practice that means that the service engineer stays on site until the customer is completely satisfied the whole plant is up and running again after maintenance.
Unlike many other service companies, Moody Service try to make time to integrate and educate the site work force at the same time as maintenance is carried out, which means that over time, the on site engineers become increasingly better equipped to judge whether a Moody engineer is actually needed in case of a breakdown.
